Ken Fatula

            Ken Fatula, married for thirty four years and the father of five, retired 6/22/07 from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, where he had served for 10 years as a welfare caseworker. His life and professional experience cover a broad range of military and blue and white collar backgrounds. Retired from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Ken served four overseas tours totaling 66 months while on active duty, and most recently as an intelligence analyst in Bosnia with the PA Guard. His military experience also includes engineer equipment repairman and M-1 Abrams tank commander. In December 1975 he graduated from the 47 week Czech Basic course while stationed at the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, CA. A 1973 graduate of Harding University, Ken has a BA in Social Studies and a degree in Biblical Studies, and completed over 28 post-graduate hours in the field of International Relations from the University of Southern California, Overseas School of Graduate Studies, while stationed in Augsburg, Germany. Seven and a half years of his life were spent as the minister for the Berwick church of Christ, during which time he taught Bible classes at the state penitentiary at Dallas, PA. He was a resident chaplain at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA, where he completed the two year Clinical Pastoral Education course. No stranger to manual labor, Ken has worked as an instrument operator on a survey crew, and a ditch digger for the construction department of PPL Electric Utilities. Other work experience include auto parts salesman in Searcy, AR, home construction laborer in West Monroe, LA , and a flame cutting machine operator during his six years of employment with G & B Specialties in Berwick, PA. An avid firearms and car enthusiast, Ken also enjoys camping and hunting, frequently attends the cinema, reads history books, political journals, and auto publications, and is a lover of fine art. Part of his life still includes teaching Bible classes and preaching part-time. His broadcast experience began with TV editorials on Channel 28, WBRE TV, Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1983 and 1984. Since that time Ken has hosted a Sunday morning religious commentary radio show and a Saturday morning call in commentary show on Saturdays, both broadcast on 1280 WFBS, Berwick, PA.
